Samvel Karapetyan congratulated the Catholicos of All Armenians on the 27th anniversary of his accession to the throne.

ArmInfo. The leader of the "Strong Armenia" bloc, businessman Samvel Karapetyan, congratulated Catholicos of All Armenians Garegin II on the 27th anniversary of his consecration and accession to the throne.

Karapetyan recalled that in the entire thousand-year history of the Armenian people, there have been only 132 consecrations of Catholicos of All Armenians. "From the consecration of the first Catholicos, St. Gregory the Illuminator, to your consecration, an unbroken chain of spiritual continuity of our people stretches, consisting of 132 links. "This chain, like a golden thread, runs through the history of the Armenian people and our Homeland, passing on our faith and identity from generation to generation," the politician noted in a message on his Facebook page.

Karapetyan wished Garegin II good health, longevity, and unwavering fortitude to continue his patriarchal mission for the benefit of the Armenian Holy Church, the unity of the Armenian people, and the prosperity of the Homeland. "May the Lord be your guardian and support, and may your patriarchal staff always flourish," the leader of the "Strong Armenia" bloc concluded.

It should be noted that on October 27, 1999, Garegin II was elected as the 132nd Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians at the National Church Council.
