ArmInfo. Armenia faces an obvious legitimacy deficit following the parliamentary elections held on June 7, as at least 60,000 votes of Gagik Tsarukyan’s Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP) were stolen by the ruling authorities. This was stated by the second president of Armenia and leader of the opposition "Armenia" alliance, Robert Kocharyan.

ArmInfo. Armenia's second president, leader of the Armenia bloc, Robert Kocharyan, believes that the hastily launched case against him, which he called simply absurd, was necessary to ban him from leaving the country. He stated this in an interview with the media.

ArmInfo. Gagik Tsarukyan's "Prosperous Armenia" Party (PAP), former Yerevan Mayor Hayk Marutyan's "New Power" Party, and second President Robert Kocharyan's "Armenia" alliance have filed a petition with the Constitutional Court of Armenia demanding that the results of the country's June 7 parliamentary elections be declared invalid.

The Wings of Unity party, led by former Ombudsman Arman Tatoyan, has filed a petition with the Constitutional Court of Armenia asking it to invalidate the results of the country's latest parliamentary elections. Liparit Drmeyan, a  member of the Wings of Unity party, announced this in a conversation  with journalists outside the courthouse.

ArmInfo.We expect two outcomes from the Constitutional Court:  either calling a second round of the parliamentary elections or declaring their results invalid. This was stated by lawyer and member of the "Strong Armenia" bloc, Aram  Vardevanyan, in a conversation with journalists outside the  Constitutional Court building.

ArmInfo. Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan attended the opening ceremony of the reconstructed Hakob Kojoyan Educational Complex in Yerevan. While preserving the complex's original historical and cultural appearance, three school buildings were reconstructed and one new building was constructed as part of the "300 Schools, 500 Kindergartens" program.

ArmInfo.  It's important to me that approximately 700,000 Armenian citizens who voted for the opposition rejected Aliyev's Constitution, the surrender of  territories, and the campaign against the Church. This was stated by  Kristine Vardanyan, an MP from the "Armenia" bloc, during a briefing  on June 19, answering journalists' questions.

ArmInfo.  Vazgen Manukyan, the first Prime Minister of Armenia and chairman of the National Democratic Union (NDU) Party, considers the opposition's appeal to  the Constitutional Court to challenge the results of the June  elections pointless, given the obviousness of its response. He wrote  this on his Facebook page.

ArmInfo.  The adoption of a new Constitution of Armenia has been on our agenda since 2019 and will remain there. Artur Hovhannisyan, secretary of the ruling Civil  Contract faction, stated this during a briefing in the Armenian  parliament, when asked whether it was true that some within the  political party were dissatisfied with not having secured a  constitutional majority.

ArmInfo.  Aram Vardevanyan, a representative of the "Strong Armenia" bloc, has filed a petition with the Constitutional Court of Armenia to annul the results of the  June 7 National Assembly elections. This was reported by Marianna  Ghahramanyan, press secretary for Samvel Karapetyan's "Strong  Armenia" bloc.

ArmInfo. The United States and Iran signed a declaration of intent to end the war. The US President signed the document on June 17, 2026, on the sidelines of the G7 summit at the Palace of Versailles in France. Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian signed it digitally while in Tehran.

ArmInfo.Armenia is effectively not participating in any activities of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO), according to CSTO Secretary General Taalatbek Masadykov.

ArmInfo.Europe and the United States benefit from maintaining a weak and illegitimate leader in Armenia, as they want the country to become a new anti-Russian stronghold.

ArmInfo. At NATO exercises in Armenia, Armenian military personnel will be trained to fight against Russia. This was stated on June 18 during a briefing by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova.

ArmInfo.Today, the European Court of Human Rights published its first decision on cases related to the four-day April 2016 war. This was written on his Facebook page by Liparit Drmeyan, former head of the Office of the Representative  for International Legal Affairs.

ArmInfo."Strong Armenia" bloc leader Samvel Karapetyan announced the opposition will hold a rally of "strength and trust," the goal of which is to gain genuine public support.  He made this announcement at a meeting with editors of several media outlets, during which he outlined the steps he believes  the collective opposition should take to overcome the crisis that has  arisen in Armenia following the parliamentary elections.

ArmInfo.The legal team of Gagik Tsarukyan's Prosperous Armenia Party will appeal to the Constitutional Court on June 19, demanding a re-run of the ballot at three polling stations where the results of the June 7 parliamentary  elections were previously annulled. This was reported by PAP press  secretary Iveta Tonoyan.
