ArmInfo. There are serious grounds to believe that hundreds of millions of drams were funneled from the state budget to finance the ruling Civil Contract  Party's election campaign, as stated by lawyer Aram Orbelyan to  reporters on June 27 outside the Constitutional Court building.

This is stated in the final report of  the "Fair Voice" observation mission of the Federation of Youth Clubs  regarding the parliamentary elections held in the country on June 7,  2026.

Frank Pallone Jr. (D-NJ) has introduced an amendment to H.R. 8800 - the National Defense Authorization Act for  FY27 - that would block the President from exercising Section 907  waiver authority until Azerbaijan takes demonstrable and verifiable  steps toward meeting concrete accountability conditions.
