ArmInfo.The Republic of Armenia is facing a serious legal security problem. Political authorities constantly and publicly announce the initiation of  criminal and other proceedings against this or that individual, after which the entire law enforcement system, investigative bodies, the prosecutor's office, and the courts begin to execute these political directives, as stated by Yerem Sargsyan, one of the attorneys for businessman Gagik Tsarukyan, leader of the Prosperous Armenia Party.  

ArmInfo. Mass printing of new-generation Armenian passports has begun in the Netherlands. This  was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs  of Armenia.

ArmInfo.  The defense team for Prosperous Armenia Party leader Gagik Tsarukyan published new documents received from the Islamic Republic of Iran, which they  assess as evidence of the groundlessness of the charges against their  client.

ArmInfo. Armenian Deputy Defense Minister Arman Sargsyan and Satu Koivu, Head of the EU Civilian Mission to Armenia, discussed issues related to the  activities of the European Monitoring Mission in Armenia at a meeting  on July 14.

ArmInfo.  The construction of the new administrative complex for the Sevan Water Rescue Squad has been completed. From now on, the Squad will operate in more modern conditions, in accordance with international standards, which will  contribute to increased efficiency. ArmInfo.  The current Armenian government is publicly pressuring law enforcement agencies to arrest second President Robert Kocharyan. Robert Kocharyan himself stated  this on July 10 at a hearing in the Anti-Corruption Court, where  hearings on the March 1, 2008, case continue.

ArmInfo.The memorandum of understanding signed by the Ministers of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Armenia and the UAE on the recognition of national  driver's licenses of the two countries has entered into force, as reported by the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Armenia.

ArmInfo. The leader of the "Prosperous Armenia" party, businessman Gagik Tsarukyan, whose house had been searched since early morning, has been detained, and a motion for his arrest will be filed with the court. This was announced on July 6 by one of his lawyers, Yerem Sargsyan, while speaking to journalists in front of the businessman's house.

ArmInfo. On June 29, Arpine Sargsyan, Armenia's Minister of Internal Affairs and chief negotiator for the EU-RA visa liberalization process, participated in  a roundtable discussion titled "Border Management Reforms and Border  Guard Training: Lessons from  EU Approaches," organized in  cooperation with the Geneva Centre for Security Sector Governance  (DCAF) and the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

Armenian Minister of Justice Srbuhi Galyan and Head of the European Union (EU) Delegation to Armenia, Ambassador Vassilis Maragos, discussed progress in the implementation of the Armenia-EU Visa Liberalization Action Plan, as well as the progress of judicial, legal, and constitutional reforms in the country, at a meeting in Yerevan.

ArmInfo.  Armenia will allow for remote court hearings using video communication for  defendants and convicts. The National Assembly of the Republic of  Armenia will discuss amendments to the relevant package of bills in  the first reading at its plenary session on June 16.

ArmInfo.  The model for reinstating driver's licenses for citizens deprived of their right to  drive will be changed in Armenia. The National Assembly of the  Republic of Armenia will discuss amendments to the law "On Ensuring  Road Safety" and a package of related documents in its first reading  at June 16 session.

ArmInfo.  In fact, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan was re-elected not to a third, but to a fourth term, as stated by Deputy Speaker Ruben Rubinyan in a conversation with journalists in Parliament. He was responding  to a question regarding why Pashinyan is seeking another term, given his  previous opposition in 2018 to the attempts of the third president,  Serzh Sargsyan, to remain in power.

ArmInfo.The participation of Russian-Armenians in Armenia's electoral processes is the focus of the country's law enforcement system. RA Interior Minister Arpine Sargsyan told reporters on June 12, responding to a question about how many Russian-Armenians participated in the nationwide vote.

ArmInfo. A delegation led by Artur Yeroyan, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Armenian Armed Forces, participated in a meeting of the Executive Academic Council of the European Security and Defence College on June 10-11 at the headquarters of the European Commission in Brussels.

ArmInfo. The incident in the village of Orgov, involving the discovery of drugs in a 12-year-old schoolboy, is deeply concerning. RA Minister of Internal Affairs  Arpine Sargsyan told reporters on June 12.
