ArmInfo.  Narek Karapetyan, the number one candidate on the "Strong Armenia" bloc's election list, has filed a lawsuit against Armenia's Investigative Committee,  demanding a retraction of false information disseminated about him,  claiming he concealed his citizenship of another country. This was  reported on the website of the Datalex judicial information system.

ArmInfo.  RA Ambassador to the United State Narek Mkrtchyan visited the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) in Washington, D.C., where he met with  Max Bergmann, Director of the Europe, Russia, and Eurasia Program, as  well as other representatives of the center.

ArmInfo. Armenia faces an obvious legitimacy deficit following the parliamentary elections held on June 7, as at least 60,000 votes of Gagik Tsarukyan’s Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP) were stolen by the ruling authorities. This was stated by the second president of Armenia and leader of the opposition "Armenia" alliance, Robert Kocharyan.

ArmInfo. On June 22, the conference hall of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Armenia (NAS RA) will host the opening of the 10th International Conference on Radiation Physics, themed "Beams and Radiation: Interaction and Applications". Bringing together over 150 scientists from Armenia, Italy, Greece, the UK, Russia, Malaysia, Saudi Arabia, China, and Iran, the conference will also feature the 5th International Scientific School "Radiation Physics and Related Applications". This school is dedicated to the memory of Academician Alpik Mkrtchyan, a prominent Soviet and Armenian physicist.

ArmInfo. Armenia's second president, leader of the Armenia bloc, Robert Kocharyan, believes that the hastily launched case against him, which he called simply absurd, was necessary to ban him from leaving the country. He stated this in an interview with the media.

The Administrative Court of Armenia, chaired by Agasi Darbinyan, has granted the petition of the Armenian Apostolic Church (AAC), ruling that the lack of response from the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) police regarding the incident at the Surb Astvatsatsin Church in the town of Talin, Aragatsotn Province, was unlawful.

Liparit Drmeyan, a  member of the Wings of Unity party, announced this in a conversation  with journalists outside the courthouse.

ArmInfo.We expect two outcomes from the Constitutional Court:  either calling a second round of the parliamentary elections or declaring their results invalid. This was stated by lawyer and member of the "Strong Armenia" bloc, Aram  Vardevanyan, in a conversation with journalists outside the  Constitutional Court building.

ArmInfo.  Vazgen Manukyan, the first Prime Minister of Armenia and chairman of the National Democratic Union (NDU) Party, considers the opposition's appeal to  the Constitutional Court to challenge the results of the June  elections pointless, given the obviousness of its response. He wrote  this on his Facebook page.

ArmInfo.  The adoption of a new Constitution of Armenia has been on our agenda since 2019 and will remain there. Artur Hovhannisyan, secretary of the ruling Civil  Contract faction, stated this during a briefing in the Armenian  parliament, when asked whether it was true that some within the  political party were dissatisfied with not having secured a  constitutional majority.

ArmInfo.  Congressional Armenian Caucus Co- Chair Rep. Frank Pallone Jr. (D-NJ) has introduced an amendment to H.R. 8800 - the National Defense Authorization Act for  FY27 - that would block the President from exercising Section 907  waiver authority until Azerbaijan takes demonstrable and verifiable  steps toward meeting concrete accountability conditions.
