ArmInfo.The Ministry of Environment has announced the appointment of Hayk Arakelyan as Deputy Minister.

ArmInfo. The former head of the Kasakh community, along with five former administration  employees, has been implicated in the illegal alienation of 28  community-owned land plots valued at approximately AMD 228 million,  as reported by the Investigative Committee of the Republic of  Armenia. 

ArmInfo.  As a result of measures taken by Armenian law enforcement agencies, a citizen wanted for approximately 11 years was found and arrested in the Russian  Federation. He was extradited to the Republic of Armenia on June 18,  2026. This was reported in a statement by the RA Investigative  Committee.

From August 10th to 15th, Armenia will be affected by cold and wet cyclones from the Black Sea, resulting in a 4-6 degree drop in air temperatures on August 10th and 11th (compared to August 9th). ArmInfo. The Hay Dat Committee condemned the signal from the US President Donald Trump's administration of its intention to circumvent the decision to impose sanctions against Baku, which would pave the way for continued American aid to Azerbaijan. The Catholicos of All Armenians Garegin II and six bishops - members of the Supreme Spiritual Council, arrived at the Court of General Jurisdiction of First Instance of the Armavir region, where the first hearing of the criminal case initiated against them began under the chairmanship of Judge Akop Manukyan.

ArmInfo. The Armenian Patriarchate of Jerusalem and the Russian and New Nakhichevan Dioceses of the Armenian Apostolic Church demanded that the Armenian authorities end the judicial prosecution of Catholicos of All  Armenians Karekin II and members of the Supreme Spiritual Council.

This was stated by Ishkhan Saghatelyan, a representative of the Supreme Body of the Armenian Revolutionary  Federation (ARF Dashnaktsutyun) and a member of parliament from the  opposition "Armenia" faction, at a parliamentary session on August 7.

ArmInfo. The Bureau of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation (ARF) Dashnaktsutyun (ARF) condemned the actions taken by the Armenian authorities and  reaffirmed its full support for the Armenian Apostolic Church and His  Holiness Karekin II, Catholicos of All Armenians.  This was stated in  a statement published on the party's Facebook page in connection with  the first hearing of the criminal case against the Catholicos of All  Armenians.
