Armenia and the European Union continue their high-level political  dialogue-Pashinyan

ArmInfo. Armenia and the European Union continue their high- level political dialogue, as  stated by Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan  in Strasbourg on March 11 at a joint briefing with President of the European Parliament, Roberta Metsola.

Pashinyan called the EU and the Council of Europe the "House of  Democracy." "We feel the need to return to the "House of Democracy"  from time to time to synchronize our democratic reform clocks with  those of the Democracy House, to ensure that our democratic reform  process is on the right track, at the right speed, and in the right  direction. We are honored to have the support of the EU and the  Council of Europe on the path of democratic reform," the Armenian  Prime Minister said. According to him, the most important thing is  that the law on Armenia's EU accession process was adopted and  entered into force in 2025, opening a new historic stage in relations  between Armenia and the European Union. This is a new impetus for  Armenia to continue its democratic reform process, he noted.

"Armenia and the EU have adopted a new strategic agenda that elevates   our relations to a new level.  Currently, we are actively negotiating   on the topic of visa liberalization," the Armenian Prime Minister  said. He also stated that during this period, Armenia has also  received support through the European Instrument for Peace.

"The EU Civilian Observer Mission continues its activities in  Armenia, the role of which is difficult to overestimate. In general,  our high-level political dialogue continues and is being carried out   at the level of the executive branch, the legislative branch, and at  the civil society level. I am also pleased to note that we have an  extensive agenda of economic partnership. I would like to thank you  once again for this invitation and opportunity, and I look forward to  meeting you at the European Political Community summit in Yerevan in  early May," Prime Minister Pashinyan concluded.
