ArmInfo. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan shared "good news" - YouTube has begun testing a monetization tool in Armenia.
"You may have noticed that ads have begun appearing between videos on YouTube in Armenia. This means that, in accordance with the agreement, YouTube is beginning to activate the monetization tool in Armenia, and testing is currently underway," he said in a video message on his Facebook page.
As the Prime Minister noted, this is good news for anyone who believes they can make money through visual content.
"In other words, these ads mean that the owners of the relevant channels can also make money. Thus, we are taking another step towards integrating into the global world," he stated. Pashinyan emphasized that YouTube places quite high demands on visual content, which "gives hope that the quality of visual content in Armenia will also improve with the use of this tool."
"And, of course, a new source of income is emerging for those creating visual content. We can congratulate them on this occasion and hope that this content will be as informative and aesthetically pleasing as possible. And, of course, we hope that this will contribute to the improvement of our social relations," Nikol Pashinyan said.
