RA Defense Minister: We must have fortified areas along the entire  border of the country

ArmInfo. We must have fortified areas (FA) along the entire border of the Republic of Armenia to ensure territorial integrity and border inviolability, as  stated by Armenian Defense Minister Suren Papikyan in a video address, presenting one of the completed fortified areas in the highland areas of the border.

In recent years, their number has reached several dozen, according to  Papikyan. "I consider this a great achievement for our Armed Forces  and engineering, because it first and foremost protects our soldiers  and gives them psychological advantages," he said. The Minister noted  that the missile defense systems are located practically underground  and are a closed concrete system that is strong enough to protect  against UAVs. In the event of a potential battle, it can ensure the  survival of our soldiers.
