ArmInfo.The "Strong Armenia" Party will announce its candidate for prime minister in the upcoming parliamentary elections on February 12. Narek Karapetyan, coordinator of the "In Our Way" movement, made this announcement during a press conference on January 20.
Speaking about possible coalitions, he emphasized that negotiations are underway with newly formed parties, but the final decision will be made at the final stage of the pre-election process. Karapetyan emphasized that political forces unlikely to cross the electoral threshold must coordinate to ensure their support contributes to a broader change in leadership.
"This should become a format of agreement between all opposition forces," Karapetyan stated. "Power shifts are often determined by a margin of just a few percentage points. Losing 3-4% of the vote can be decisive. It is vital that national interests prevail over personal ambitions."
