ArmInfo.Stepanakert Mayor David Sargsyan and members of the city's Council of Elders have been acquitted, as stated by Artsakh lawyer Roman Yeritsyan on his Facebook page.
Earlier, ArmInfo reported that David Sargsyan and three others were initially charged with fraud, but the charges were later changed to arbitrariness. Specifically, he was accused of fraud related to the alienation of four cars owned by the Stepanakert Mayor's Office. "During this case, David Sargsyan was held in custody for approximately 20 days, then placed under house arrest for a month, and finally subjected to administrative supervision for around eight months, with similar to house arrest. All of these measures were imposed because the mayor and members of the Council of Elders had transferred several vehicles belonging to the community to individuals who were taking them out of Artsakh," the lawyer wrote.
