ArmInfo. The state must impose restrictions to ensure rights and freedoms. But citizens themselves must initiate these restrictions to avoid social tensions. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan made this statement on January 12 during a discussion dedicated to Judicial Authority Day.
According to Pashinyan, everyone demands justice and respect for rights from the government. Meanwhile, the Armenian prime minister believes that the definition of "justice" and "law and order" remains to be determined.
At the same time, without imposing restrictions, it is impossible to ensure rights and freedoms. "Imagine what will happen if no one is restricted-it will lead to chaos, and it will be impossible to ensure rights and freedoms," Pashinyan explained.
He continued that if the government decides to impose restrictions to ensure rights and freedoms, tensions will arise in society. This can be avoided if society itself comes to the realization of the need to impose restrictions and recognizes the authorities' actions in this direction as legitimate, Nikol Pashinyan concluded.
