ArmInfo. If the current government in Armenia is restored, European commissioners and European leaders will soon welcome "Armenia's bold steps to transform Lake Sevan into a shared lake with Azerbaijan and organize the return of Azerbaijani refugees." Political scientist and member of the Alternative Projects Group, Vahe Hovhannisyan, wrote this on his Facebook page.
"They will also give the project a beautiful name, say, 'Sea of Reconciliation.' Then resistance will lose its meaning. We must speak openly about this with our own people. Part of our society has embarked on the path to the destruction of our state. They understand everything perfectly well, but they are making up excuses for themselves. Can the situation be changed? Definitely yes, if important steps are taken. First of all, it is necessary to separate the 'narrow group' from the rest, engage in open discussions with those who remain, and initiate an open dialogue with an indifferent society. These are the most important areas of work," the political scientist noted.
He emphasized that socio-political opposition systems must address this collective problem using a decentralized approach. This is one of the keys to success. "In Armenia, there is a system of "Gauleiters" - executive, security, spiritual, intellectual and other types. Gauleiters and collaborators are always together. As a rule, their entourage completely rejects everything and everyone, which leads to the collapse of this quasi-system. The collective task of socio-political opposition systems should be to change the public atmosphere. This requires leaders to have a different toolkit than concern for their own reputation or envy of others. Let us remember that the society preparing for elections is now exactly such a one, when 25% of the population tolerates everything, and 75% wants change. This situation has two possible resolutions: if a significant part of society, to one degree or another, makes efforts to destroy their state, and it will collapse, and if a significant part of this same society indifferently watches this process, then the country will collapse again. If conscious public activists, including the opposition political system, understand this and build the right "If we develop a strategy based on the rules of 'what to say,' 'what to do,' sound calculation, teamwork (not envy), and norms of coexistence, then success will certainly come. The government is making grave mistakes that must be exploited," the political scientist noted. Vahe Hovhannisyan believes that the anti-church campaign has created an unprecedented historical unity between the people and the Church, the people and the Patriarch. "The propaganda aimed at turning us into a stateless state has created unprecedented unity under the anti-government banner. How can we take advantage of these mistakes? The concept of opposition cannot be reduced to a leader, a mandate, or a share in the next government. This is a crime against history. On the contrary, the mistakes of the government create exceptional opportunities for broad unity, tacit alliances, and community. Anyone who rejects this reality and understands the danger is the opposition. Let's expand the concept of opposition, and it will become Channel 9. Unity is not a list or a future position. It is a community of speaking and working. My suggestion to everyone: let's work together, in every possible way, our and your methods, past and present styles, let's explain to people what these elections are about. Media, interactive communications, press conferences, announcements, family events, conversations around the table, etc. These elections are about our ability to live in Armenia. All other meanings are secondary. Can we make this simple "What's the deal? We can do it," the political scientist is confident.
