


ArmInfo. The Armenian government has increased funding for the voluntary teacher certification system by 2.16 billion drams. The decision was made at a government session on December 4.
According to Zhanna Andreasyan, Minister of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports (MoESCS), this year, approximately 8 billion 673 million 771, 400 drams have been allocated to reward teachers who have undergone voluntary certification. "With the presented draft, we propose to add another 2.16 billion drams to this amount, meaning that more than 10 billion drams will be allocated for the voluntary certification system alone in 2025," the Minister stated.
According to the head of the MoESCS,, the voluntary certification system is currently being established and developed. "Today, teachers who already receive 700,000 drams are part of our reality," Zhanna Andreasyan noted, pointing out that more than 8,400 teachers (out of 30,000) have applied for certification in 2025.
