


ArmInfo.A Russian court has sentenced eight of the 13 defendants in the October 2022 Crimean Bridge explosion case to life imprisonment, with three of the defendants being Armenians.
According to RBC, the court granted the prosecutor's motion to impose life sentences on all eight defendants, while the remaining five defendants are still wanted. The trial was held in closed session at the Southern District Military Court and as lawyer Hasan Radzhabov had previously told reporters, all eight defendants pleaded not guilty.
In total, 13 people are involved in the case - citizens of Russia, Armenia, and Ukraine. Eight of them have been detained, and the rest are wanted. After approving the indictment, the prosecutor's office named Artem and Georgy Azatyanov, Oleg Antipov, Alexander Bylin, Vladimir Zloba, Dmitry Tyazhelykh, Roman Solomko, and Artur Terchanyan as defendants in the case. The investigation is ongoing to identify all those responsible for the explosion.
