


ArmInfo. Aida Aznavour-Garvarents, the elder sister of the greatest French singer of Armenian descent, Charles Aznavour, has passed away at the age of 102. The Aznavour Foundation has announced the news. "Aida passed away peacefully at the age of 102, leaving behind a a life full of love, strength, and devotion to her family and heritage," the statement reads.
"Our hearts are Heavy with grief, yet full of gratitude for the years we had with Aida. Her love and warmth will remain with us forever. In her passing, we honor not only a beloved sister and aunt, but a life lived with dignity and devotion," the Aznavour family notes.
Aida Aznavour-Garvarentz will be buried in the family's burial place in Montfort-l'Amaury, beside her family members and husband, Georges Garvarentz.
