ArmInfo. The conclusion of employment contracts between employers and employees electronically will become mandatory in the future. Zhora Sargsyan, Head of the Labor and Employment Department at the RA Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs, announced this during a press conference on October 20.
According to him, currently, this process is voluntary, but starting January 1, 2026, paper-based employment contracts will no longer be valid. The National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia has already introduced relevant amendments to the Labor Code. Additionally, a decision is expected to be adopted during the next government meeting, which will require employment contracts for employees with several years of service to also transition to electronic format.
