


ArmInfo.Several leaders of CIS member states held a brief conversation before the start of the CIS Heads of State Meeting in Dushanbe. Footage was published by the "Pul Pervyi" Telegram channel, which is affiliated with the press service of Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko.
According to TASS, in addition to Lukashenko, the presidents of Azerbaijan and Tajikistan, Ilham Aliyev and Emomali Rahmon, as well as Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and CIS Secretary General Sergei Lebedev, were also present.
"Ilham Heydarovich, you said he wouldn't come; you were worried. I told you Nikol Vovayevich can't go anywhere without us," Lukashenko said, addressing Aliyev. The Azerbaijani president, Armenian prime minister, and CIS Secretary General sat on the same sofa. The CIS summit is taking place on October 10 in Dushanbe, where the presidents of Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan, as well as the Prime Minister of Armenia, have arrived to participate. The meeting of the council is chaired by the head of Tajikistan, which holds the CIS presidency in 2025.
