With Honor faction calls for vote of no confidence in Armenian  premier 

ArmInfo.  The opposition faction With Honor presented a draft statement of the National  Assembly of Armenia "On expressing no confidence in the Prime  Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan based on the national crisis and  failure of governance".

As noted in this regard in the statement of the opposition political  force, which was distributed on his Facebook page by the head of the  faction Hayk Mamijanyan, the government headed by the Prime Minister  failed to fulfill its duties, significantly deviating from the  program they submitted and approved by the parliament. In addition,  it is noted that it was unable to effectively respond to the  challenges facing the state, often causing new ones to emerge.

Thus, according to the faction's statement, the activities of the  current government have led to a systemic crisis at all levels of  public administration. "This policy has had disastrous consequences  in all areas of national security, state sovereignty, democracy,  socio-economic and national life, creating serious problems for the  Republic of Armenia and jeopardizing the future of the country. This  comprehensive failure in all directions is not accidental. It is a  direct result of the policies, decisions and behavior of Prime  Minister Nikol Pashinyan," the faction noted.

In particular, it is emphasized that the criminal mistakes of the  Prime Minister led to the loss of Artsakh, the careless diplomacy of  the ruling regime did nothing to release the Armenian prisoners of  war, and Nikol Pashinyan's authoritarian tendencies led to the  imprisonment of his opponents. "His administration has also led to a  new level of corruption, and ineffective economic management has  placed the Republic of Armenia in serious economic troubles," the  statement continues.

In connection with the above, the opposition faction stated that  Nikol Pashinyan has irrevocably lost the legitimacy of governing the  country and his continued stay in power poses a threat to the  existence of the Republic. "The government's destructive activities  in all areas of public administration - security, foreign policy,  economics and social security - demonstrate its fundamental  incompetence and lack of vision. The consequences of these failures  threaten the future of Armenian statehood," the opposition faction  noted.

In this regard, the statement emphasizes that at the moment the only  constitutional solution to the current situation is to encourage the  National Assembly to express no confidence in the Prime Minister. As  explained by the faction, this implies a sequence of the following  steps. First of all, the consolidation of deputies around the idea of  expressing no confidence in the Prime Minister. Secondly, as noted in  the statement, the formation of a transitional government, the  priorities of which should be stabilizing the situation in the field  of national security, restoring the rule of law, releasing all  political prisoners and guaranteeing democratic freedoms.

"In addition, the priority should be the restoration of an atmosphere  of public solidarity, organizing free, fair and competitive  parliamentary elections, stopping the decline of Armenia's  international authority, warning the country of economic shocks,  promoting the issue of returning Armenian prisoners of war and the  military-political leadership of Artsakh on international platforms,"  the faction noted.

In this regard, the opposition force called on all political forces,  civil society and individuals who believe in the future of Armenia to  unite around the most realistic way of changing power at the moment -  the process of expressing no confidence in the Prime Minister. "The  time has come for change before the impending and possibly new  destructive disasters," - summed up in "I have the honor".

A vote of no confidence in the current Prime Minister can be  discussed in parliament only if at least 36 MPs provide the  signatures necessary to begin the process. The two opposition  factions ("Armenia" and "I have the honor") together make up 34 MPs.  Another four have independent status. In order to express no  confidence in the head of government, at least 54 MPs out of 107 must  vote for impeachment.
