Levon Ter-Petrosyan offers condolences on death of editor of  Istanbul-based newspaper Marmara

ArmInfo.  The first president of Armenia Levon Ter- Petrosyan announced the death of the editor of the Istanbul newspaper "Marmara" Roper Hattechyan.

"I learned with deep sorrow about the death of Roper Hattechyan, the  long-time editor of the Istanbul newspaper "Marmara". A man whose  entire life was dedicated to preserving the viability of the Armenian  community in Istanbul, its educational and cultural traditions. I met  and talked with Hattechyan many times and was impressed by his  modesty, wisdom and determination. In connection with his sad death,  I express my condolences to his family, friends and all Armenians of  Istanbul," Levon Ter-Petrosyan wrote on Facebook.
