


ArmInfo. The first meeting of the Youth Council under the Minister of Internal Affairs Arpin Sargsyan was held in Armenia.
As ArmInfo was informed by the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the council was formed with the aim of ensuring more effective and multifaceted governance and strengthening the ties between the state and society. During the meeting with the minister, the Youth Council outlined a number of thematic areas that will be the subject of further discussion and study. In particular, reducing the number of road accidents, combating drug trafficking and other important issues.
As the Ministry recalled, the council was formed in two stages. Thus, at the initial stage, 132 people applied to be included in the council, of which 70 participants were selected. "They, in turn, went to the next stage of the interview, after which 37 people became members of the Youth Council," the department noted.
According to the source, the meeting was organized in cooperation with the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports (MECS) and the National Gallery of Armenia.
