ArmInfo. Western-oriented political forces advocating for Armenia's accession to the European Union staged a Russophobic action against the backdrop of the upcoming visit of Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov to Yerevan. From early morning, they unfurled Russophobic posters in front of the Russian Embassy in Yerevan and on the capital's Kiev Bridge.
The incident has already been commented on by the chairman of the "In the Name of Social Justice" party, Arman Ghukasyan. In particular, he wrote on his Telegram channel: "These are the provocations that began in Yerevan on the eve of Sergey Lavrov's visit to Armenia. The authors are the so-called "Euroblok", which plans to hold a rally against Lavrov's visit in front of the RA MFA building at 11:00 on May 21 (at that time, there will be a press conference of the RA and RF Foreign Ministers). These posters are hung in the city and distributed on social networks by the bloc's leaders and activists, represented by Russophobes and Western grant recipients, who at the same time support Nikol Pashinyan.
Arman Babajanyan, Levon Barseghyan and the rest of their comrades in the shop have never thought about what will happen to Armenia, since they are only interested in personal benefits from the Russophobic agenda. What is interesting here is that the authorities do not react in any way to the fact that such provocations are being staged, since everyone has long known about the strong connection that between the authorities and the aforementioned force. It will be interesting to see whether the protest will be stopped or whether the comrades will calmly carry out their provocation once again, jeopardizing the country's image."
At the time of publication of the material, ArmInfo was unable to obtain a comment from the police on this matter.
Independent experts are inclined to believe that these actions are a political provocation aimed at undermining Armenian-Russian relations, which are already going through hard times.
