Director of Yerevan Youth Theater dismissed

ArmInfo.  Director of the Yerevan Youth Theater Emin Torosyan has been fired. He announced this on the theater's Facebook account.

In particular, Torosyan noted that a decision was received from the  Yerevan City Hall that from today, May 13, 2025, based on the  unfounded report of the head of the Yerevan City Hall Culture  Department Gosh Sargsyan addressed to the Mayor of Yerevan, his  activities as the director of the YTZ will be terminated by  unilaterally terminating his employment contract.

It should be noted that  Emin Torosyan was appointed to the post of head of the Yerevan Youth  Theater in May 2019. A few days ago, information was circulated in  the media about the possible removal of Torosyan from this post. 

The city hall reported that certain problems arose in the activities  of the Youth Theater, in connection with which a study was conducted.  In this regard, the city hall demanded an explanation from the  theater's management. However, in one of his last interviews,  Torosyan himself said a few days earlier that the mayor's office had  proposed terminating the employment contract due to the material  damage caused to the organization, in particular, it was about some  shortcoming with the provision of 1,200 invitations or free tickets  based on the results of the first quarter. But Torosyan himself  expressed the opinion that there could be no problems with the  tickets, and accordingly, the reason for such a decision lies in  something else.
