RA minister of interior on greater public confidence in police 

ArmInfo.  Armenia has seen a decrease in the number of road accidents and casualties, as well as an increase in public trust in the police. This was stated by Armenian Interior Minister Arpine Sargsyan during the final event of  the EU-funded "Support to Law Enforcement and Security Sector Reforms  in Armenia" program.

As reported by the press service of the department, during her  speech, the head of the Interior Ministry assured that thanks to the  daily efforts of the program and the work of the Armenian teams, it  was possible not only to analyze in detail the functions of each  structural unit of the Ministry, but also to rethink them, creating a  solid foundation for effective and long-term reforms. Sargsyan  expressed confidence that joint efforts and clear planning made it  possible to move from the ideological to the practical level,  ensuring the logical completion of each action.

In turn, the head of the EU Delegation to Armenia Vasilis Maragos  noted that it is a great honor for the European Union to participate  in one of the largest reforms in Armenia aimed at improving services  for citizens. He emphasized that cooperation with partners from  Lithuania and Latvia, as well as the launch of the visa  liberalization process, testify to the high efficiency of joint work.

During the event, the Minister of Internal Affairs of Lithuania  Vladislav Kondratovich discussed issues of migration flows and border  management, noting the importance of exchanging experience in various  areas.  He emphasized that the program is a vivid example of what can  be achieved through joint efforts, exchange of resources and  knowledge.

At the end of the event, a ceremony of awarding medals and  certificates of gratitude was held. The guests also honored the  memory of the victims of the Armenian Genocide in the memorial  complex and visited the Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute, getting  acquainted with its exhibits.
