No manifestations of apocalypse in law-enforcers` actions - NA  vice-speaker 

ArmInfo.One should not look for any manifestations of the apocalypse in the actions of the law  enforcement agencies of Armenia, Vice Speaker of the National Assembly Hakob Arshakyan stated in Parliament.

According to him, videos often leak online showing a group of young,  enthusiastic people breaking car windows. "How should the police  react in this situation? I'll say more: precedents of this kind have  happened before, when in the center of Yerevan some citizens broke  car windows. And there is no need to blame law enforcement agencies  for responding to this kind of phenomenon, including the initiation  of criminal proceedings ", the vice speaker noted, pointing to the  facts of road blocking in the Tavush region of the country.

Arshakyan noted that he understands the emotions of residents of  villages bordering Azerbaijan, but calls for calm. In his opinion,  blocking interstate highways does not serve as a method of solving  problems.  "Some of the citizens, and I don't want to specify which  ones, are really concerned - they are few, but they exist. They  blocked the road, which I do not approve of. You cannot resort to  such actions," - Arshakyan said, apparently having "forgotten" about  similar actions by the opposition in 2018.

Commenting on the incident with the car of the Yerkrapah Volunteer  Union, which hit protesters, Arshakyan said that the driver had the  right to travel. "The people who blocked the road attacked this car  and damaged it," Arshakyan emphasized.

On May 2, the police surrounded the protesting Tavush residents in  the village of Kirants, and, using brute and disproportionate force,  detained men and teenagers on the blocked Kirants-Voskepar road for  several hours. After that, several hundred police officers surrounded  the village and did not let anyone in. Even Head of the Tavush  diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church Bagrat Galstanyan was  forbidden to enter the village.

Since April 19, residents of Tavush have been protesting against  unilateral unconstitutional concessions to Azerbaijan by the Armenian  authorities.
