Mirzoyan:  topic of consular presence in Syunik is raised in contacts  between Armenian Foreign Ministry and other countries

ArmInfo.Apart from Iran, which has already opened a consulate in Kapan, Russia, which is in the process, and  France, which has expressed a desire to do so, there are also other countries raise this topic in contacts with the Armenian Foreign Ministry. The head of the country's foreign policy department, Ararat Mirzoyan, spoke about this when answering questions from MPs.

Answering the question about what the opening of diplomatic missions  of foreign states in the Syunik region will bring in the context of  current geopolitical realities, Mirzoyan noted that, of course, this  process has its own geopolitical background. On the other hand, the  international presence in this region will be an incentive for its  further socio-economic development.
