MP: Indifference to the Artsakh issue, not putting it on the  top-priority agenda speaks of the clear position of Armenian  authorities

ArmInfo.The non-attendance of Artsakh by the President, Prime Minister and Speaker of the National Assembly of Armenia speaks of several negative factors. This  is the opinion of Tigran Abrahamyan, a lawmaker of the opposition  faction "I Have the Honor", former adviser to the President of  Artsakh.

According to him, the issue is not so much about non-attendance and  non-participation in the days that are symbolic for Artsakh, but  about the phenomenon in general.

"Naturally, many noted the absence of the Armenian leadership in the  events in Artsakh on the occasion of September 2, but the question is  that these officials have not visited Nagorno-Karabakh since the end  of the war. Indifference to the Artsakh issue, not putting it on the  top-priority agenda speaks about the clear position of these  authorities. This is the attitude towards the people of Artsakh and  Artsakh, "the MP said.  At the same time, Abrahamyan believes that if  this issue is considered in the prism of pressure and ultimatums of  the Azerbaijani side, and if the Armenian authorities in this matter  act according to the rules of the game dictated by Azerbaijan, then  it is already clear what events will follow this process.  "The  Armenian authorities see their role in Artsakh only in humanitarian  issues, which I believe will also be temporary. The current  authorities have driven the country into a chain of defeats, where  our state is moving according to an imposed mind on an agenda that  runs counter to the interests of Armenia and Artsakh, "the deputy  concluded.

To note, yesterday Artsakh celebrated the 30th anniversary of the  proclamation of independence. For the first time, the top leadership  of Armenia did not participate in the festive events. The events were  attended by the lawmakers of the RA parliament, as well as the third  president, Serzh Sargsyan.
