Arman Tatoyan topped the rating of political figures of Armenia-poll

ArmInfo.Human rights defender Arman Tatoyan topped the rating of political figures in Armenia. This is evidenced by the results of a survey conducted by the consulting  company MPG (Marketing Professional Group).

Presenting the results of the study, MPG Director Aram Navasardyan  noted that the political figures were evaluated on a 5-point scale,  where the highest rating (3.7 points) was awarded to the Ombudsman of  Armenia, followed by the current Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan (2.7  points), with a small margin followed by the President of Armenia  Armen Sarkisyan (2.4 points).

At the same time, the 2nd President of Armenia Robert Kocharyan and  the leader of the Prosperous Armenia Party Gagik Tsarukyan scored  equal points-2.1 each, the leader of the Lusavor Hayastan party Edmon  Marukyan-1.9 points, the 3rd President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan-1.6  points, the leader of the ARFD Ishkhan Saatelyan and the leader of  the Save the Motherland movement Vazgen Manukyan - 1.5 points each,  and the lowest rating of the leader of the party <Motherland> Arutra  Vanetsyan - 1.4 points.  According to the survey, the vast majority  of respondents (92.5%) are aware of the upcoming snap parliamentary  elections, and only 7.5% said that they have not heard anything about  it. However, as Aram Navasardyan noted, the opinion of citizens about  whether these elections will be held fairly and transparently under  the leadership of Nikol Pashinyan was almost equally divided. So,  about 35.5% of respondents are sure that the elections will be held  without fraud, 9% - believe that it is more likely yes than no,  definitely no-29.7% of respondents are sure, rather no than  yes-13.4%, and 12.5% - found it difficult to answer.

At the same time, 41.2% are ready to participate in the elections,  10.2% answered rather yes than no, 15.9% definitely no, 15% rather no  than yes, and 17.8% found it difficult to answer.

If the elections were held next Sunday, 31.7% of respondents would  vote for the ruling party <My Step>, 5.9% - for Robert Kocharyan, for  the PAP - 4.4%, for Lusavor Hayastan - 2.7%, for the Republican Party  of Armenia (RPA) - 2.4%, for the ARFD - 2.1%, the movement <Saving  the Motherland> - 1%, Sasna Tsrer - 0.5%, the party <Homeland> -  0.4%, the party <Republic> - 0.4%, the party <Citizen's Decision> -  0.1%.

It is noteworthy that 24.6% of respondents are not ready to support  any of the submitted candidates, and 20% - did not find it difficult  to answer at all. < Comparing the results of our study with the  previous one , the difference is insignificant. Almost all the  players have retained their positions, a slight decrease of 1, 4  percentage points is observed only in the <My Step > party, "  Navasardyan said, noting that support for the ruling party is more  provided in the regions than in Yerevan.

In addition, the survey showed that 80% of respondents face fake  information every day, where, according to the respondents, the  lion's share (25.8%) falls on the opposition, 19.5% - on the part of  the government. At the same time, 36.2% believe that disinformation  is spread by both the government and the opposition, 11.7% of  respondents found it difficult to answer.

When asked who Armenia should strengthen cooperation with, 62.9% of  respondents voted for Russia, 16.4% for the United States, 6.4% for  France, 5.2% for the EU, 2.6% for China, 2.4% for Iran, 1.5% for the  EEU, 0.7% for NATO, 0.7% for Georgia, and 0.2% for the CIS.

The MPG head noted that the survey was conducted from March 26 to 29  via telephone calls, the geography of which covered all regions of  Armenia, including border communities, the sample size was 801, the  sampling error was +/- 3.5%.
