This is stated in the statement of the group of lawyers of the second President of Armenia Robert Kocharyan. Moreover, in the statements of the SIS it is noted that the substitution of cartridges in the case is not related to the circumstances of the death of at least seven people.
It is also unclear why the decision was made to refuse to plead guilty and arrest Gegham Petrosyan (former deputy commander of the RA police forces, former chief of police headquarters - Ed. note), who is accused of killing one out of ten citizens. All this is done in order to hide the causes of death of these persons>, the statement emphasizes.
Lawyers also noted that the prime minister is trying to rewrite the story, but all his attempts are doomed to failure. Lawyers noted that all answers on the Kocharian case have long been given, and if the prosecution has arguments that are hidden from the public, they can be published today. It should be noted that as a result of clashes at opposition rallies that followed the 2008 presidential election in Armenia, in which Serzh Sargsyan formally won, 10 people died on March 1. The investigation is still ongoing. The second president of Armenia, Robert Kocharian, and a number of high-ranking officials of that time are taking part in the case on charges of overthrowing the constitutional order.
