Nikol Pashinyan: The government has all the levers to carry out a  revolution also in the judicial sector

On  December 4 during the election campaign, Acting Prime Minister of  Armenia, head of the ''My Step'' bloc Nikol Pashinyan stated in  Ashtarak.

"Today, the National Assembly is discussing or should have discussed  the issue related to the largest corruption case in the history of  the third Republic a petition for depriving the immunity of MP Aram  Harutyunyan", Pashinyan stressed that representatives of the previous  government probably thought that they could take bribes not $ 14  million, but in the amount of $ 20, $ 30, $ 50 billion, etc.

Pashinyan stated that on December 9, when the new parliament will be  elected, Aram Harutyunyan will be deprived of his parliamentary  immunity, and the criminal case initiated against him will begin to  take its course.  "The government has all the levers to carry out the  revolution also in the judicial sector, as in the judicial system of  Armenia a large place is occupied by judges, robbers and corrupt  officials. We in turn will call all these judges to responsibility  for their actions, because they illegally closed people in prisons.  Now the ECHR issues decisions on the events of March 1, 2008, dozens  of decisions, do the judges think that there will be nothing for them  to decide? ", Pashinyan wondered. The Acting Prime Minister also  noted that the place of such mutants in prisons, any official who  will use his mandate for his personal goals, will be severely  punished.

He also referred to the statements of the Republican Party of Armenia  that they would bring the Deputy Prime Minister Ararat Mirzoyan to  justice for what the latter called them "a gang of robbers". "They  tell us that they will bring us to court for what we called the  representatives of the RPA" a gang of robbers, "now let's see who  will bring them to court," concluded Pashinyan.  To note, today, on  December 4, the agenda of the National Assembly included a discussion  on depriving a MP, former Minister of Nature Protection Aram  Harutyunyan of parliamentary immunity, however, the meeting did not  take place due to the lack of a quorum.  To note, Aram Harutyunyan is  accused of taking bribes on a large scale - $ 14 million.
