Head of the ARC: We do not have a systematic manifestation of  bribery, but we are fighting against individual phenomena

ArmInfo. The chairman of the State Revenue Committee (SRC) of Armenia did not begin to find out for what purpose the staff of the department headed by him took a  bribe, since this is not part of his authority. 

On October 25, after a meeting of the Government of Armenia, David  Ananyan said in a conversation with journalists. "We consider this to  be a bad phenomenon for our system, but we have more than once had a  reason to declare that we ourselves are fighting against bribery," he  said. "We insist that there is no systematic manifestation of bribery  in our department, but there is a struggle against individual  phenomena," - Ananyan assured.

At the same time, David Ananyan stressed that the employees caught on  a bribe had already been appointed when he was the head of the SRC.  <In my tenure as head of the SRC, rotational reassignments were  carried out. That is, these officials have not been appointed  recently. They were simply reassigned by rotation>, "Ananyan pointed  out.

According to the head of the tax and customs committee, in Armenia,  some, most likely, did not realize the fact that changes took place  in the country. "There are still people who do not realize what a new  reality is, there are those, and in my opinion they are the majority  who have accepted the new reality. But there are situations that fall  out of our field of vision," the chairman of the SRC concluded.  Recall that on October 23, three employees of the Department of  Inspection of Small Taxpayers of the State Revenue Committee were  taken to the police for demanding a bribe. In particular, as reported  by the press service of the Police of Armenia, on October 22,  employees of the anti-economic crime and corruption control  department of the Armenian Police General Directorate for Combating  Organized Crime in the implementation of operational information at  the time of receiving a bribe of 1 million drams detained the deputy  head 10 department of inspections inspection-management of small  taxpayers SRC Samson Arakelyan. On the suspicion of extortion and  taking bribes, the head of the same department, Suren Eloyan and the  inspector Vagharshak Lalayan, were subjected to drive.

It was reported that the SRC employees were driven on the basis of a  signal from the director of one LLC, according to whom Eloyan,  Arakelyan and the inspector, someone Vahg, demanded 1 million drams  in order to close some eyes during the inspections and not to  obstruct the company's activities.

In fact, a criminal case under paragraph 2 and 3 of part 3 of Article  311 of the Criminal Code. Today, the CCC has brought charges against  them. On this account, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan wrote  on his Facebook page that only a scoundrel can demand a bribe in the  new Armenia, and these scoundrels should be "eradicated."
