Naira Zohrabyan starts meetings with foreign ambassadors "on the fact  of terror over freedom of speech and conscience" in Armenia

Candidate for  mayor of Yerevan from the Prosperous Armenia party Naira Zohrabyan  stated that after her speech, where she pointed out the presence of  persons close to the representatives of the past ruling regime in the  list of My Step, against her in social networks the whole state  apparatus connection with what she turned to European structures.

In a conversation with the correspondent of ArmInfo, Zohrabyan noted  that thousands of fakes were involved in the case of her denigration  in social networks. According to her, the data of all fakes are  currently at the disposal of the PPA. "They work so silly that it is  not difficult to gather information about them," the deputy said.

Zohrabyan said that employees of various ministries and departments  actively participate in the black PR against it. "All the necessary  materials on this have also been sent to European structures, in  particular, the Commissioner for Human Rights of the Council of  Europe in Yerevan, Dunya Miatovic, who forget the fact that I am not  only a candidate for the mayors of Yerevan, but also and head of the  parliamentary commission on European integration, which enjoys great  prestige in international structures, I want to emphasize that these  people rendered a disservice to Pashinyan, "the candidate said,  promising. What about the most authoritative European structures?

"I think that the prime minister should pacify his ministers, whose  employees, using state resources, are engaged in black PR," Zohrabyan  said.

She also said that starting from today she starts a series of  meetings with foreign ambassadors accredited in Armenia, many of who  expressed their desire to meet. "The ambassadors are themselves  preoccupied with terror over freedom of speech and conscience in  Armenia, one thing is certain, you will be very hot, respected," the  deputy assured.

She also noted that the pre-election situation in Armenia forced many  political forces to think about the expediency of holding early  parliamentary elections. "If they think they can force us to vote for  a decision to dissolve the parliament against our will, they are  mistaken, it will not work," Zohrabyan said.

Note that Prime Minister Pashinyan's harsh statements against  opponents led to the polarization of the political field on the eve  of the Yerevan elections. Currently, there is a consolidation of the  main participants in the elections against the block "My step"  supported by Pashinyan, which in turn led to speculation about  further support for Pashinyan's initiatives in the parliament, where  he has only three mandates. On the eve of one of the leaders of the  Luys bloc, the chairman of the Republic Party, former Prime Minister  Aram Sargsyan also reminded Pashinyan that he was elected to the post  of prime minister, including thanks to the voices of those political  forces that he now ruthlessly criticizes in the framework of the  agitation campaign . "Mr. Pashinyan you will need the voices of these  forces in the parliament, but not the fact that they will be given  back in support of your initiatives, including in the matter of  dissolving the parliament," he said. Meanwhile, just a month ago, all  parliamentary forces except the Republican Party supported  Pashinyan's initiative to dissolve the parliament and early  elections.

Recall that, on the initiative of the head of the Armenian delegation  to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, Deputy  Speaker Arpine Hovhannisyan, the PACE initiates an extraordinary  monitoring in Armenia to ensure the norms of freedom of speech and  conscience.

Earlier, after meeting with the deputy chairman of the RPA, head of  the parliamentary commission on foreign affairs Armen Ashotyan, the  head of the European People's Party, Josef Doll, expressed his  concern over the atmosphere in the republic.
