A criminal case was instituted on the abuse of official authority in  the Agency for Water Resources Management of Armenia

ArmInfo.  On the fact of  abuse authority in the Agency for Water Management (WRMA) of the  Ministry of Nature Protection of Armenia, a criminal case has been  raised  in the Main Investigation Department of the most important  cases of the Investigative Committee of Armenia in accordance with  the first part of Article 308 of the RA Criminal Code.

This was  reported by the press service of the Prosecutor General's Office.   According to the report, the case was initiated on the basis of  materials obtained as a result of an interview given on May 15 this  year. ex-deputy head of the Agency Lusine Taslakyan, in which she  reported on a number of actual abuses carried out in the agency.

In particular, it was stated that at the direction of the head of the  agency Vahan Davtyan, the employees in his subordination sent  citizens applying for obtaining water use permits to Tat Holding,  which actually belonged to Davtyan and his mother Anush Saadyan in  order to calculate the cost of permissible water abstraction . The  process of granting permission to individuals and legal entities,  ordered in other companies at more affordable prices, was  unjustifiably postponed; or artificial obstacles were created, or  even permits were not finally granted.

It is also noted that Tat-Holding LLC, established in 2017, provided  paid services to the company Viola Jur for a total of AMD 50 million,  whereas similar services in other companies could be ordered at lower  prices.

According to the data of the State Register of the Ministry of  Justice of the Republic of Armenia, Tat- Holding, whose director was  Anush Saadyan, was established on June 26, 2017, and on May 21, 2018  was declared bankrupt. To conduct the preliminary investigation, the  case was referred to the RA Investigation Committee.
