Vanetsyan: There is a suspicion that the weapons found by Abrahamians  could be used during the events of March 1, 2008

ArmInfo. It is suspected that the weapons found at the enterprise owned by former Prime Minister of Armenia Hovik Abrahamyan could be used during the March 1, 2008  events by persons who are not law enforcement officers, including  representatives of the protection of some persons. The head of the  National Security Service of Armenia Artur Vanetsyan said this in a  conversation with journalists.

"We received such operational data, but this is still a version, and  it is checked, an appropriate examination is carried out," the head  of the National Security Service said. Vanetsyan gave a positive  answer to the question that the shots carried out during the March  2008 events from unregistered weapons could be made from weapons  found at the Abrahamyan.

To note, on the fact of storage of illegal weapons the brother of  Hovik Abrahamyan, former Republican Party deputy Jonik Abrahamyan was  detained yesterday. According to the reliable information available  to ArmInfo, the search was carried out in the house of the head of  the protection of Hovik Abrahamyan Bagrat in the village of Mkhchyan,  but in addition to the old hunting rifle, nothing was found there.  According to ArmInfo sources in the CAS, Bagrat incriminated the  involvement in the events of March 1, 2008 of a group of people who  acted on the side of the authorities.
