ArmInfo. A political force must be formed in Armenia, based on the "Civil Contract" party, with the values and revolutionary goals proclaimed by Nikol Pashinyan and his team, First Deputy Prime Minister Ararat Mirzoyan stated prior to the government meeting today.
According to him, this political force will become a "standard-bearer" of reforms, tackle the promotion of the values proclaimed, and thereby assume full responsibility for the changes made in the country. "Various people, representatives of various political and public structures can be involved in this political force," the First Deputy Prime Minister said.
As for nominating a candidate from the "Civil Contract" separately from the "Yelk" bloc for the post of Mayor of Yerevan in the person of the famous comic actor Hayk Marutyan, according to Mirzoyan, this does not mean that there is a split in the bloc. "It's too early to make such conclusions. If there is a split in the "Yelk" bloc, then it will certainly be officially announced'', he declared. At the same time, responding to the remark that many people do not take Marutyan's candidacy seriously, Mirzoyan stated: "Six months ago, we were not taken seriously too."
