First Vice Prime Minister: The assessments of RPA situation in the  country is, in the main, far from objective

"My personal position coincides literally with the position of the Armenian Foreign Ministry, and I have nothing to add to this," Armenian First Deputy  Prime Minister Ararat Mirzoyan said in an interview with journalists  on August 2, commenting on Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov's  statement on the policy authorities of the republic in relation to  their political predecessors.

Touching upon the assessments of the Republican Party of Armenia that  Lavrov's statement is a warning signal, predicting dangerous  consequences, Ararat Mirzoyan stated: "It has been repeatedly proved  that the assessments of the situation on the part of the RPA are, in  the main, far from objectivity."

To recall, July 31, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov told  reporters that the events in Armenia are contrary to the statements  of the new leadership of the country about refusing to pursue its  political predecessors. "Over the past few days, we have several  times brought this concern to the Armenian leadership," the minister  added. "We expect that the situation will nevertheless follow a  constructive path." According to him, in Moscow during the political  crisis in Armenia in May this year "with great satisfaction noted  that as a result the solution to this crisis was found on the basis  of a compromise with the participation of all leading parties." The day before, responding to ArmInfo's request to comment on the  statement by the Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation, Tigran  Balayan, spokesman for the Armenian Foreign Ministry, said that  Armenia follows international reactions to the internal processes in  Armenia, conditioned by the formation of a rule of law and  independent justice, the fight against corruption, which are the  domestic political priorities of the government "These processes are  not interconnected with Armenia's foreign policy and should not cause  discrepancies.
