According to the record, the day before the expert commission voted  unanimously to include such objects as the old building of the  Zvartnots airport, the cinema hall Rossiya (Ayrarat), the summer hall  of the Moscow cinema, the Hrazdan stadium, the Yerevan metro station  Republic ", Yerevan metro station" Yeritasardakan "metro station and"  Gafesjian "Art Center (" Cascade ").

To note, the decision of the commission means the inclusion of these  objects in the list of historical and cultural values. The Agency for  the Protection of Cultural Property must deal with this task.  Meanwhile, in real life, the Armenian public observed a completely  different picture. Back in April 2013, the concessionaire Zvartnots,  the company Armenia-International Airports, applied to the Yerevan  Municipality for permission to demolish the old airport building. The  company refers to the assessments of experts, according to which the  building is physically worn out, and its reconstruction will require  investments of $ 15-20 million. However, as a result of a wave of  public outrage, this project has not yet been fully realized. Yes,  and how will the protection of the cinema "Russia" is also unclear,  given that the cinema square has turned into a fair, and the  supermarket "Russia Mol" has been built on its territory. Until now,  the fate of the summer hall of the Moscow cinema, which the Armenian  Apostolic Church "laid eyes on", remains unsettled, and it intends to  demolish the hall and build a chapel in its place. The condition of  the Yerevan Metro stations is also much improved. The only exception  is the Arts Center "Gafesjian", which is really invested in the  "Cascade", which became one of the attractions of the Armenian  capital.
