


ArmInfo.The Council of Europe is ready to support the reforms implemented by the new government of Armenia, the head of the CE Office in Armenia, Natalia Vutova said at the meeting with the Prime Minister of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan,
According to press service of Armenian government appreciative of the ongoing effective cooperation between Armenia and the Council of Europe, the Prime Minister hailed the CoE's support of the reform process, which seeks to develop democracy, strengthen the fight against corruption, promote human rights and so on. The Prime Minister noted that Armenia will be an active member of the Council of Europe and will participate in the organization's all undertakings.
Natalya Vutova emphasized that the Council of Europe is ready to support the most important reforms in our country, both in the spheres mentioned by the Prime Minister and in the judicial and legal systems. She welcomed the Government's initiative to combat corruption and expressed confidence that it would be effective.
During the meeting, reference was made to the need for holding snap parliamentary elections and amending the Electoral Code in the context of bilateral cooperation.
