Second platform of the program on disaster risk reduction in the  countries of Central Asia and the South Caucasus will be held in  Yerevan

ArmInfo.RA Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan during the meeting with the UN Secretary General's Special Representative for Disaster Risk Reduction Mami Mizutori noted the importance of effective cooperation between  Armenia and the Organization.

The press service of the Armenian Foreign Ministry told ArmInfo that  Mnatsakanyan also called the assistance provided by the Armenian  office to the development of institutional opportunities in this  sphere valuable. In this context, the Armenian Foreign Minister  highlighted the priorities of the Sendai Framework Program for  Disaster Risk Reduction for 2015-2030.

Mizutori highly appreciated Armenia's contribution and experience in  disaster risk reduction and management, expressing readiness to  continue joint work in this field.

The two sides highly valued Armenia's involvement in the activities  of various UN agencies, as well as the initiatives of the  Organization. The interlocutors also touched upon the events to be  held in Yerevan on June 26-27 within the framework of the second  platform of the program on disaster risk reduction in the countries  of Central Asia and the South Caucasus.
