Artsvik Minasyan: the balance of power in parliament does not  correspond to the existing realities

Minister of Economic Development and Investments of Armenia Artsvik Minasyan, member of ARF Dashnaktsutyun believes that, in one way or another, early  parliamentary elections will be held in the republic. "The fact that the balance of forces in the parliament today does not correspond to the established realities is a fact," he said in a conversation with journalists at the Sardarapat Battle memorial on May 28.

According to him, today Armenia, as a state, should be ready for the  early parliamentary elections, since the electoral system with all  its infrastructures must be subject to changes. These efforts, he  noted, are also important from the point of view of increasing the  level of public confidence in the institutions of power.

At the same time, for today the minister has refrained to name  possible dates of carrying out of elections.  At the same time, the  head of the Ministry of Economic Development and Investment expressed  the opinion that the Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan, when  presenting the program of the government, will touch upon this topic,  and then it becomes clear when and under what conditions elections  will be held.  To note, yesterday the vice-premier Tigran Avinyan, on  began to call specific deadlines, but said that the extraordinary  parliamentary elections will be held in Armenia regardless of the  will of the Republican Party. Meanwhile, the head of the Republican  Party of Armenia faction Vahram Baghdasaryan stated earlier that at  present there is no need to hold early elections. As he pointed out,  the RPA will prepare for elections only in 2022.
