Artur Yeghiazaryan: The demands of the Armenian people have always  been top-priority for the ARF Dashnaktsutyun 

ArmInfo.The demands of the Armenian people have always been top priority for the ARF Dashnaktsutyun party. Member of ARF Dashnaktsutyun Supreme Body, military expert Artur Yeghiazaryan stated at a press conference on May 15.

He noted that when it became obvious that the people of Armenia do  not want to see Serzh Sargsyan in the leading position, the ARF party  accepted the side of the people. Yeghiazaryan also said that during  the period of the party's cooperation with the RPA, party members in  some issues were limited to a coalition agreement and could not  always openly express their position. "However, when the issue became  very acute, we decided to support the position of the people, but I  want to note that we do not forget the way we passed with the RPA,  moreover, we believe that during this time we had many achievements,"  - noted the Dashnaktsakan.

Yeghiazaryan also stressed that during the rallies in the country,  the ARF offered to nominate a single candidate from all factions and  thus reduce the level of tension in the country. Dashnaktsakan noted  that, despite the fact that during the rallies it was possible to  change the power, he still believes that this process must be  conducted through elections. "I think that despite the legitimacy of  the parliamentary elections of 2017, nevertheless, they did not  reflect the position of the people, and then disagreements arose." If  the citizens of Armenia begin to understand that their voice can  become decisive, then there will no longer be a need for actions  protest, "Yegiazaryan said.

The politician also said that the ARF supported Serzh Sargsyan, since  at that time he was the only candidate and was politically prepared  person. In addition, as Yegiazaryan noted, party representatives  fulfilled their coalition conditions.

As for the fact that Dashnaktsutyun representatives joined the new  government, Yeghiazaryan noted that the party representatives had  never set such a task before themselves. "However, when we received  such a proposal, we decided to help the new government." As for  whether we will be members of the coalition in the future, I think  it's too early to talk about it. At the same time, I want to note  that our party is always participated in the elections with its  agenda, "stressed the Dashnaktsakan.

Yeghiazaryan also touched upon the issue of excluding deputy Aghvan  Vardanyan from the ranks of the party. "It was the same case when one  person went against the position of the whole party, so we decided to  exclude him from the ARF, but I would like to note that if Aghvan  Vardanyan decided to keep his mandate, he could easily remain a  deputy. they would not interfere with it, "Arthur Yeghiazaryan  concluded.
