According to the ARtsakh Defense Army, from 14:25 on 21 April, clusters and active movements of the Azerbaijani army's manpower and military equipment were observed on various sectors of the contact line, in particular, in the east and south-east directions. In order to assess the current operational situation on the ground, the Defense Minister of the Republic of Artsakh, the commander of the Defense Army, Lieutenant-General Levon Mnatsakanyan visited military positions in the eastern direction on April 22, got acquainted  with the situation at the front line, checked the combat training of troops, gave a number of instructions and instructions necessary for further action. As Mnatsakanyan noted, the operational-tactical situation is completely under the control of the Artsakh Defense Army, all necessary measures are being taken to curb possible provocations of the adversary.

NKR Defense Army recalls Minsk Group co-chair5s turned to the intense situation at the front line on April 23 calling on the sides to take immediate measures on decreasing the level of intensity, strictly to follow ceasefire regime and to take away from the frontline heavy artillery.

From April 22 to 28 at the Karabakh and Azerbaijani troops contact line, Azerbaijani Armed Forces violated the ceasefire regime more than 400 times. The adversary for the mentioned period of time shot over 4000 times from the weapons of different calibers.
