Nikol Pashinyan: The victory of the "velvet revolution" should be  complete, but we must exclude attempts of  vendetta. 

ArmInfo.In Armenia, a new power has been formed - the power of the people. Nikol Pashinyan, the leader of the Civil Contract Party, stated this at a rally on the  Republic Square today.

"When I was in prison, various high-ranking officials began to come  to me, they offered me to agree to the resignation of Serzh Sargsyan  in October, then another official came and suggested that Sargsyan  resign in a month, then a third came and suggested that Sargsyan  submit in resignation on April 25. I realized  then that we  have won  already, and I said that Serzh Sargsyan should resign after 2 hours,  and that's exactly what happened, "the oppositionist said.

At the same time, he stressed that there were several items on the  agenda of the opposition movement: the first was the resignation of  Serzh Sargsyan from the post of prime minister, the second was the  appointment of a candidate from the people as prime minister, and  this should happen within the next week. Further, an interim  government should be formed, and then go through early parliamentary  elections in the most logical shortest possible time.

 Pashinyan said that on April 25 at 11:00 in the Marriott Hotel  negotiations on the smooth transfer of power with acting  premier  Karen Karapetyan. "The leadership of the Republican Party must  recognize the victory of the people and the velvet revolution, and  the sooner the better for Armenia and Artsakh." Our velvet revolution  can not be interrupted halfway, it must be completed, and you should  be with us on this path, " Pashinyan.

At the same time, he stressed that the Republican Party should not  consider that it can carry out the shadow management of the country:  "The people won, and his victory must be recorded without  preconditions." At the same time, he stressed that it is necessary to  exclude the atmosphere of hatred and attempts of vendetta in the  country. "No one should think that this revolution is a manifestation  of hatred towards them." I want to appeal to all those who are now  collecting their bags or think about it, to ordinary citizens,  entrepreneurs who think that a vendetta will begin, do not do it,  because the vendetta does not will, love, friendship, solidarity. "

Pashinyan also thanked the authorities of Artsakh, who, despite the  disseminated false information, showed restraint, balance and did not  succumb to provocations in the current situation. He said that with  Karen Karapetyan an agreement was reached that all those detained  during the "velvet revolution" should be released. He called to the  end of the rally to release all prisoners. "In addition, we must  release political prisoners." Armenia should be a free and happy  country, and a citizen of Armenia must be wealthy, free and happy,  "Pashinyan said, adding that the first part of the revolution was  completed, urging him to negotiate with Karen Karapetyan, and  tomorrow - on April 24 at 15:00 the procession will march to the  Tsitsernakaberd memorial complex and pay tribute to the memory of the  victims of the Genocide.
