Russian expert: It is necessary to develop an "organic" model of  globalization, aimed not at stimulating revolutions, but on  interstate cooperation

ArmInfo.At present, the process of transition from a unipolar world to a multi-polar world has intensified, and globalization challenges have also been actualized against this background, and the question of revising the very model of "globalization" has arisen. the chairman of the Commission on Harmonization of Interethnic and Interreligious  Relations of the Public Chamber of Russia, Iosif Diskin expressed opinion at the Third International Conference "Traditional Values - Challenges of Modernity" in the Holy See Echmiadzin.

At the same time, the expert recognized that globalization played a  positive role at a certain stage in the development of states,  stimulating their economic well-being. "However, at the present  stage," globalization "has shifted to a new system of liberal values  that have been transformed into" a civil religion, "overwhelming the  national and traditional foundations of statehood," said Diskin,  stressing that all attempts to resist this trend by preserving  traditional values meet great pressure from the outside.

At the same time, he stressed that it would be wrong to abandon the  idea of "globalization" at least for reasons of economic expediency.  "Therefore, it is necessary to develop a new, organic model of  globalization, whose goal is not to stimulate revolutionary  explosions, but to interstate cooperation." Moreover, modernization  based on traditions is more effective than liberal modernization,  "the expert concluded.

A member of the Eurasian Expert Club, associate professor of the  International Relations Department of Yerevan State University Grigor  Balasanyan noted that the issue of preserving national values and  traditions was especially actual after the collapse of the USSR. "At  that time, external forces, through the activities of various  charitable organizations, set a goal to instill foreign values in the  post-Soviet space, to split the republics' societies and thereby  impede the integration processes in the territory of the former USSR,  all this continues to this day. These processes can be characterized  as the struggle of civilizations These forces do not need developed  republics, they need markets to sell their goods, "the expert  concluded.
