Pashinyan`s adventures in Italy ended well

ArmInfo. The misunderstanding, connected with the desire of the Italian Police to arrest in Rome the deputy of the Armenian parliament from the opposition bloc "Elk" Nikol Pashinyan, was settled on the spot.

The law maker himself wrote about this on his Facebook page. According to him, he explained and argued for about 30 minutes to Italian law enforcers that he was not on the international wanted list. At the end of his work was crowned with success and the Italian policemen retired. However, as the parliamentarian wrote, the Italian law enforcers thoroughly prepared for his arrest, arrived at the hotel in a large number.

"They probably thought they were catching a dangerous criminal who, since 2008, managed to hide from Interpol," the parliamentarian joked. It should be noted that Pashinyan was put on the international wanted list in March 2008, when after mass protests after the presidential elections, one of the organizers of which he was, was sentenced to arrest, but escaped justice.

However, a year later Pashinyan nevertheless surrendered to the domestic guardians of order, and was sentenced to 7 years in prison, nevertheless he was subsequently amnestied and released. After Pashinyan's statement that the Italian police wanted to arrest him, since the Armenian authorities declared the deputy wanted by Interpol, the RA Police issued a statement in which she assured that immediately after Pashinyan's appearance in law enforcement bodies in 2009, the search for him was terminated, and Interpol was also informed about this.
