Armenian President and Mayor of Paris discussed the agenda of Armenian-French relations

ArmInfo. Working visit of Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan to France started with a meeting with the Mayor of Paris, Anne Hidalgo. The press service of the Armenian leader told ArmInfo the interlocutors noted with satisfaction that twenty- six years since the establishment of diplomatic relations were marked by the upward development of the Armenian-French privileged relations. Sargsyan expressed hope that the mutual trust, as well as impressions of Mrs. Hidalgo from visits to Armenia will contribute to the implementation of even more bold and substantive projects between Yerevan and Paris. The Armenian President congratulated the mayor on the recognition of Paris as the most innovative, most creative city in Europe within the framework of the Horizon 2020 program. The Armenian leader noted that he knows about the almost daily contacts between the mayors of Paris and Yerevan and the readiness of Paris to share with Yerevan their best experience, and there are already very definite manifestations of this readiness. In turn, Hidalgo noted that numerous representatives of the Armenian community of Paris with their activities in various fields have made great strides and make a significant contribution to the development of the city, as well as to social and political life. The Mayor of Paris expressed her admiration for the center of creative technologies "TUMO", informing the President that this year it is planned to create in Paris a center following the example of the Armenian "TUMO" project, which will become another bridge of bilateral friendship. Sargsyan invited Mayor Anne Hidalgo to take part in the upcoming events in the crayfish celebrating the 2800th anniversary of the capital of Yerevan. The Mayor of Paris accepted the invitation with gratitude and joy. President Sargsyan stressed that the Armenian people are a grateful people and with warmth keeps on the pages of their history those names that sympathize with its problems. The interlocutors also touched upon the Armenia-EU relations, the deepening of the RA-EU cooperation within the framework of the signed framework agreement and the forthcoming reforms in Armenia.
