GeoProMining Gold is recognized as patron of Ararat region of Armenia

ArmInfo. GeoProMining Gold, part of the Russian GeoProMining group of mining companies is recognized the main patron of the Ararat region of Armenia. As it was mentioned  in the conversation,with the head of the Foreign Policy and CSR Department Ruzanna Grigoryan, GeoProMining Gold realizes a whole complex of  activities within its concept of corporate social responsibility "Resources for good"in the region where the Ararat gold recovery factory is owned by the company,.

The company's latest projects are providing the Ararat community with  a bus for free trips for students to study in Yerevan universities  and buying garbage collection equipment for the city of Ararat. In  addition, the company conducts similar events in other regions of its  presence - in Vardenis, where he owns the Sot gold mine and in  Agarak, where the company owns Agarak Copper-Molybdenum Plant .

 According to Grigoryan, since the first years of work in Armenia,  the company has been actively helping communities to solve problems  with transport and communal equipment to maintain sanitary and  hygienic standards, and also solves issues of providing electricity,  water supply, gasification of cities and villages, repairing and  building such infrastructure objects like kindergartens, houses of  culture, hospitals and schools. 

"We also focus on educational processes, we annually sponsor  scholarship programs for students of regions in advanced Russian and  international universities, order developing encyclopedic, scientific  and educational literature, and support cultural events. It helps  children, disabled children, poor families, veterans of the Great  Patriotic War and families of those killed in the Artsakh war, "the  expert noted.

Grigoryan noted that one of the good traditions of the company was  the celebration of the New Year: "New Year holidays in our company  are widely celebrated. Every year, we not only congratulate our  employees and their families, but we also try to pay attention to all  people who need it. I would like to take this opportunity to  congratulate my colleagues and partners on the upcoming New Year so  that in 2018 good and luck would knock on every house. "

Recall that GeoProMining is  one of the largest investors in Armenia  in 2017 celebrated its 10th anniversary in Armenia. In 2007, the  company acquired the first major asset in Armenia, GPM GOLD, which is  developing the Sot gold mine and managing the Ararat gold recovery  plant, and later Agarak Copper-Molybdenum Combine (ACMC).

As Roman Khudoliy, the group's president reported earlier, "knowing  that our enterprises have a city- forming nature, in 2011 the company  moved from isolated projects to a system approach and launched a  comprehensive program covering all aspects of social life, from  attentive attitude towards employees and ending with minimizing the  impact of production on the environment. We constantly interact with  state authorities and local administrations, which allows us to react  as sensitively as possible to the needs of the inhabitants of the  regions, to send charitable funds to those projects that are most  relevant to the local population. "

 According to him, over 10 years of work in Armenia in the  implementation of various social programs and charity, the company  has invested more than 8 million US dollars.
