First Armenian "Woodstock"  was held on the shore of Lake Sevan

First Armenian, so-called "Woodstock", called "Mad Fest", took place on the shore of Lake Sevan from 29 to 30 July, where several hundred rock music fans,  including professional rock musicians, amateurs, guests from the capital and neighboring communities , Famous people of Armenia set up a tent city.

"We want to proclaim on this piece of our long-suffering homeland an  informal republic called the" Crazy Coast "and spend MadFest here  every year. But this is not even a festival. Believe me, we will soon  find a substitute for this word, "said one of the organizers of the  rock festival and the leader of the Armenian rock band Vostan Hayots,  Yogan Vostani, in an interview with ArmInfo correspondent. Describing  the general concept of the festival, he named only a few criteria -  crazy big enthusiasts, crazy little terms and crazy little resources.  In his original idea, he said, the festival did not envisage a  civilized approach from the point of view of the organization. <We  did not want guests to be greeted with the phrase when entering the  tent city: <Here are your badges, pass>, <You there, sit down, settle  down> - it's all show offs! We will try to make people feel free  here, "he said. However, despite the full carte blanche provided on  the territory of the rock fest,  Vostani noted that there are several  rules here: "You can not be happy, you can not hang out, you can not  remain alone, you should not be rude, there is a problem " remarked  he.

In MadFest in addition to Vostan Hayots fans of rock, music pleased  with such bands as Mad Nation, Lousnelius, FairWind, Aratta Band,  Adana Project, Inogen, The Lab.Docz and others. Special guests of the  festival were - The Band 36.6 and Sacvoyage Band. In a conversation  with ArmInfo correspondent, guitarist of the rock band Aratta Band,  Taron Grigoryan, noted: "When we just stopped by the music of Jimmy  Hendrix (American rock guitarist-virtuoso, singer and composer -  Ed.), And I got the impression , That now 69th year and we are at  Woodstock, "said the musician. According to him, the performance at  MadFest is a unique opportunity to share their music and listen to  other talented rock musicians in Armenia. "Our group was established  in 2013, and in Armenia we performed in all possible and impossible  places. Often go to festivals abroad. But participation in such a  rock festival is for the first time for us, and we are very happy  about this opportunity, "Grigoryan said.

Among the participants of the rock fest, journalists were noted  famous Armenian singer Forsh and actor Gevorg Grigoryan, who came to  a rock fest with his biker friends on a motorcycle. <MadFest is an  excellent reason to ride a motorcycle. And rock is an integral part  of a biker, "he said, stressing that he has been fond of bike for  over 15 years.
