Bacu complain in OSCE about Serzh Sargsyan`s statement of usage of  Iskander

ArmInfo. Bacu complained about Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan in the OSCE because of the latter's statements on the possible use of the Iskander, and also because of the trainings in Nagorno-Karabakh.

"In connection with the military trainings conducted by Armenia in  the occupied territories of Azerbaijan (Nagorno-Karabakh-Ed.), The  illegal visit of the President of Armenia to the occupied Azerbaijani  territories and the statements he made, according to the instruction  of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Permanent Mission of  Azerbaijan to the OSCE sent a letter to the member states of the  Organization, the Chairman of the Permanent Council, the OSCE  Secretariat and relevant structures. In particular, it says that the  Armenian armed forces, violating the norms and principles of  international law, the relevant resolutions of the UN Security  Council, documents and decisions of the OSCE, held large-scale  exercises at the battalion level in the occupied territories of  Azerbaijan. On March 25, 2017, the Armenian President personally took  part in the final stage of military exercises. Having awarded  military men, the Armenian President made provocative statements that  threaten the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Republic of  Azerbaijan. Serzh Sargsyan, calling the Armenian Armed Forces the  guardians of Christianity, tried to give the conflict a religious  color. This he confirmed the participation of the Armenian Armed  Forces in the occupation of Azerbaijani lands, recognizing their  personal responsibility. He said that during the April battles in  2016 he gave the order to go over to a counterattack," the statement  of the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry reads.

According to the source, the statement of the President of Armenia is  a clear manifestation that Armenia violates the Bishkek Protocol of  1994, which is a basis for ceasefire, through entrenching and  building-up military positions, transferring military equipment and  hardware to the occupied territories and, thus, takes advantage of  cessation of military operations to consolidate the status-quo of  occupation.

To recall, on March 25, on a visit to Artsakh President of Armenia  Serzh Sargsyan speaking before the servicemen of one of the military  units of the NKR, stated that last April the Armenian Armed Forces  threw back the enemy in all directions. ?Today our guys are  monitoring the enemy's movement already at the depth of its  territory. Today, an ultra-modern powerful striking force is directed  to all directions of the territory of the hunger war of the neighbor,  down to the most important infrastructures?, he said, stressing that  today the supreme commander-in-chief of the Armenian armed forces  will not even blink an eye, if necessary, giving an order for the  strike by "Iskander." And this, according to the President, is very  well known in the neighboring country.
