Pre-electoral passions in Ararat region heated up to limit

ArmInfo. The pre-electoral  passions in the Ararat region heated up to the limit. "Tsarukyan"  Bloc states about the pressure on its activists.  

As the "Tsarukyan" bloc's candidate Karine Poghosyan said during a  discussion with ArmInfo correspondent, unhealthy atmosphere dominates  in the region. According to her, representatives of the authorities  terrorize and frighten the supporters of the "Tsarukyan" bloc and the  candidate on the rating system Argam Abrahamyan (the son of former  Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan and Mayor of Artashat).  In  particular, as noted Poghosyan, the Police subjected the head of  Abrahamyan's headquarters Garcevan Vardanyan without any explanation.  Later he was released. She called the law enforcement agencies to pay  attention to this.

At the same time, Poghosyan said that the lawlessness in Ararat did  not end there. The governor of the region Aramais Grigorian fired the  general director of Artashat medical center Vardan Hovhannisyan from  his position because the latter refused to dismiss the head of the  polyclinic Serine Airapetian. Previously, Grigoryan demanded from  Hayrapetyan to resign, as she refused to campaign in favor of the  Republican Party. "This is nothing more than a political persecution,  and this picture dominates throughout the region, from schools to  hospitals", she resumed.

To note, earlier, the Governer Grigoryan fired another officials who  refused to agitate in favor of the Republican Party.

Recently, the clashes between the representatives of the RPA and the  Tsarukyan bloc in the Ararat region reached the knifes. In  particular, Murad Muradyan, one of the associates of the candidate  from RPA deputies, stabbed an activist from the headquarters of Argam  Abrahamyan, the injured was operated in the Yerevan medical center  "Erebuni" and was discharged only today.

It is noteworthy that in the Ararat region, passions are raging not  only between representatives of opposing political forces, but also  between candidates from the Republican Party. So, even before the  start of the election campaign, there was a fight between the  supporters of the same Muradyan and the brother of the governor of  the region, the owner of the "Avshar" company Araik Grigoryan.  Recently, hand-to-hand fighting was unleashed between the driver of  Araik Grigoryan and the staff of the pre-electoral headquarters of  another candidate from the Republican Party of Armenia, former police  chief Alik Sargsyan. By the way, it is he who is responsible for the  elections in the Ararat region and heads the local party structure.
