Serzh Sargsyan: Armenia is a responsible and reliable state on  foreign political arena  

ArmInfo. Armenia is a responsible, balanced, predictable and reliable state on the foreign political arena, Armenian President, Chairman of the ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) Serzh Sargsyan said at the 16th congress of the RPA in Yerevan on November 26.     

He said Armenia represents itself as a state with a constructive  stand that looks for mutually beneficial solutions with the partners,  consistently implements its international obligations, and respects  the arrangements. Sargsyan stressed that Armenia's goal in the  foreign policy and international relations is to strengthen and  promote the ties with the partners and to increase the number of its  friends throughout the world. 

President Sargsyan pointed out that Russia is Armenia's ally and that  this demonstrates the depth, diversity and significance of Armenia's  relations. As regards the ties with the US, Sargsyan stressed that  during the term of the new US Administration he will do his best to  give a fresh impetus to friendly partnership. "We will keep  developing relations with France, Germany, Greece and other European  countries based on the common system of values, We are glad to state  the rise in the relations with China and we will confidently continue  that course," Sargsyan said. 

According to Sargsyan, Armenia's EEU membership has opened up wider  opportunities for economic development of the country. "We should use  this potential to full extent. We are deepening relations with the EU  and we hope to successfully complete the negotiations around the new  Armenia-EU legally binding document soon," he stressed.
